In the surrounding area there is a great variety of sporting activities like golf, scubadiving, sailing, surfing, paragliding, gocart, horseback riding, Paintball etc.
In both Los Narejos and Los Alcázares there is plenty of restaurants, bars and discoteques. In San Javier there is a jazz and blues festival every summer.
Every day a week there is a market close by. The closest is in Los Narejos, just a few hundred meters away, on Saturdays.
In Los Alcázares there is a new adventure golf. 18 holes built like "real" ones with bunkers and water hazards.
Drive the freeway south towards Cartagena. Turn towards Torre Pacheco at Los Alcázares Centro. After 1 km, turn left into the industrial area and then directly right
In the north of San Javier, on road 322, there is a new shopping mall with shops, restaurants, bowling and biljards. About 20 km south is Cartagena. This a big city with many shops and supermarkets like i.e. Carrefour and El Corte Inglés.
